Christmas Tea Lights

This week’s pottery classes - both the adult Friday morning and the after-school classes - have been all about creating delicate porcelain Christmas tea lights.

We began by rolling out fine porcelain clay, carefully cutting it into shape, and pressing in patterns to create beautiful surface textures. Some students added extra details by cutting out festive shapes or poking holes of varying sizes, which would allow light to dance through the designs.

They worked beautifully! After firing, the finished tea lights looked magical - coming to life when illuminated in the darkness!
