Hags Pottery Classes & Workshops
1. General Terms
Participants must always follow studio rules and instructor guidance.
The studio reserves the right to refuse service or remove individuals who do not follow safety guidelines or disrupt the class.
All bookings are subject to availability.
2. Booking & Payments
Full payment in advance is required to secure a place in any class, course, or workshop.
Gift vouchers and credit notes must be used within their validity period.
No refunds will be issued for missed classes.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations 7 days or more before the class date: Classes are non-refundable once booked. Hags Pottery will endeavour to reschedule cancelled classes within the course or term in which the sessions are booked - subject to availability.
Cancellations less than 7 days before the class date: No refund or reschedule option.
If the studio cancels a class (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances), a full refund or rescheduled session will be offered.
4. Missed Classes & Make-up Policy
Missed classes cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Students may not swap classes or attend at a different time to make up for missed sessions. If there is space in another class and the other participants are in agreement you may attend to catch up a missed class.
5. Health & Safety
Participants must wear appropriate clothing (e.g., closed-toe shoes and aprons).
Ceramic dust can be harmful - aprons and work surfaces should be cleaned regularly.
The studio is not liable for any injuries sustained while on the premises.
6. Firing & Finished Work
The studio takes great care in firing work, but breakages, cracks, or glaze issues may occur. The studio is not responsible for such damage.
Pieces must be collected within 21 days of the pickup email. Uncollected work may be discarded or donated to charity.
Only studio-approved materials can be used; damage caused by improper materials may result in a breakage fee.
7. Classes for Children & Under-18s
A parent/guardian must complete a consent form for participants under 18.
Children’s classes are supervised, but the studio is not responsible for injuries caused by failure to follow instructions.
Parents/guardians may need to stay on-site for younger children (check specific class requirements).
8. Private & Group Bookings
Private events and team-building sessions require a non-refundable deposit.
Final payment and participant numbers must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.
9. Liability & Studio Responsibility
The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
Participants use tools and equipment at their own risk.
The studio reserves the right to photograph work for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested.
10. Code of Conduct
Respect for instructors, fellow students, and the workspace is required at all times.
Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the class without a refund.
