Donhead School Fair

This Christmas I took part in my first Christmas market where I sold a selection of my work.

Thank you to everyone at Friends of Donhead, at Donhead Preparatory School, who organised this event, and to everyone who supported me, bought something, chatted to me or helped me set up.

These events are immensely important in the journey for inspiration, motivation, and self-esteem… not to mention channelling a little extra finance to an expensive but hugely enjoyable and addictive endeavour!

Merry Christmas potters and pottery supporters everywhere… it seems to be a busy time for us all!

I ended the day filled with lovely little stories of gift buying - from a ‘love actually’ moment when a man was hurriedly buying something for his partner and was hurrying me along while i carefully wrapped it for him, to small children chasing their parents across the room wailing ‘buy me a star’ mummy!

Finally, the pang of grief when someone buys something you made, that you absolutely love, but assures you that their mother-in-law will ‘absolutely love it!’

I am tired but full of Christmas cheer!
