So, this is me…

… teaching a range of ceramics classes to adults and children in my garden studio, while learning and experimenting with this incredible art form as I study for my ceramics diploma. I combine this with my work as artist educator as part of the Courtauld Gallery learning team.

To combine all my loves is the ultimate aim - art history, research, making and experimenting, museums and teaching - whilst caring for my home and family, sharing with my friends through cooking (making tableware), growing plants (to put in the many pots!), and walking the dog for inspiration, (looking) and learning (podcasts). Each aspect of my life and work feeds each other in a (sometimes) beautiful cyclical relationship.

It’s tiring, physical work, I lose my way often and question my sanity and purpose periodically. I’m certainly not making my fortune just yet, but it totally absorbs me. I love it and I love sharing it with you.

If you are interested in joining any of my classes, please ask if there is something you would like to do (perfectly formed groups of four are ideal for a class or workshop).

If your child is interested in joining an after-school class at Hags Pottery, or perhaps would like to participate in pottery to fulfill their Skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), please enquire!
