Paint, Print, Cut, Stick, Stamp - Day 2

The second day of our Christmas Course built on a productive day’s making during Day 1 where we made a set of papers for collaging. We made brushes, for painting our papers and filters for taking photographs.

During the second day we began by using a template for cutting lots of abstract shapes from our beautiful drawn and painted papers.

We then took them to a larger space for making some grand collages collaboratively.

We sorted our pieces randomly … by colour … by tone.

Made realistic images and abstract ones.

Abigail then showed us how she works to create her beautiful collages using a particular method and lots of tape!

We tried it out for ourselves…

We made some stunning images!

We then went back to the art room to make some more 3 dimensional work. A collage explosion!

We made a cone shape from triangular shapes of card…

Then attached cut paper using wire and sticks to create an explosion of shape and colour.

They were very effective!

We finally gathered all our work together for a final exhibition. We hope you enjoyed the results!
