Magazines for Kids by Kids - Day 1

Monday, 17th February 2014

At the Children’s Art School Half Term course children worked as a team of editors to design and create their own magazine by kids for kids.

We looked at magazines and planned what we would like to include.

We included puzzles, cartoons, comic strips, excuses, how to guides and interesting images.

We used drawing, collage and printmaking.

We cut out titles to screen print. These will unify our magazine.

Each stage was decided through a democratic decision making process.

See how the magazine developed in Day 2 by clicking here.

Hi Annabel & team,
Thank you for giving the kids such a wonderful experience! Our son T has been raving about his day since the moment he got home, and didn’t stop drawing all night!
Cant wait to see the finished article.
Steve
